The Location

Destination South Korea, officially the Republic of Korea (ROK), is a country in eastern Asia that occupies the southern part of the Korean peninsula, which is located between the Sea of Japan (East Sea) in the east, the Yellow Sea in the west, and the Korea Strait, a sea passage between South Korea and Japan in the south.

Capital City

Seoul, officially the Seoul Special Metropolitan City, is the capital and largest metropolis of the Republic of Korea (commonly known as South Korea). Seoul is the world's 16th largest city and forms the heart of the Seoul Capital Area, which includes the surrounding Incheon metropolis and Gyeonggi province.

Main Airport

Incheon International Airport

Incheon International Airport (IIA) (Korean: 인천국제공항) (IATA: ICN, ICAO: RKSI) (sometimes referred to as Seoul–Incheon International Airport) is the largest airport in South Korea, the primary airport serving the Seoul Capital Area, and one of the largest and busiest airports in the region.

Language Spoken

Koreans, unsurprisingly, speak Korean, and a standard version is understood throughout the country. It doesn't share many similarities with Western languages, so even learning to pronounce a few keywords and phrases can be tricky. Written Korean is also unique, using a phonetic system called hangul.

Currency

The South Korean won is the official currency of South Korea since 1945, although later it was temporarily replaced by the Hwan. One won is divided into 10 jeon but there are no jeon coins in circulation.
